Jayana Jain has completed her PhD in English and Cultural Studies at the University of Münster as a member of the Graduate School Practices of Literature (GSPoL). She is currently working towards the publication of her first book which examines the aesthetic complexities of narrating the experiences of migration, nation and home in post-9/11 South Asian novels and films. She was granted the DAAD scholarship and European Union’s Marie Curie Fellowship to conduct research on South Asian diaspora. She has also served as a lecturer of English and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Münster and co-editor of the journal TextPraxis: Digitales Journal für Philologie. In addition to diaspora and transnational studies, she is also interested in films, political theory, gender and disability studies.
