Gemechu Bekele Lemu is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Ethnology, Ludwigs Maximilans University (LMU), Munich. He commenced his academic journey by attaining a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, followed by a Master’s degree in International Media Studies from the academic landscape of Bonn, Germany. Presently, his scholarly pursuits are dedicated to an investigation of freedom of expression, offering a distinctive scholarly lens through examination of the Oromo proverbs of Ethiopia.
