AI4DIGNITY: FIRST INTERNATIONAL MEETING WITH FACT-CHECKERS

Project AI4Dignity has organized the first international meeting with fact checkers at LMU Munich to assess the needs and challenges facing online extreme speech moderation. The online event will be attended by Govindraj Ethiraj (Factcheck.in, India),  Erick Kashara (The Africa Peace Network and independent fact checker, Kenya), Björn Kunter (Love Storm, Germany), Surabhi Malik (InterNews, India), Gemma Bagayaua-Mendoza (Rappler, Philippines), Geofrey Omondi (Independent fact checker, Kenya), Nicole Rieber (Berghof Foundation, Germany), Celine Isabella Samson (VERA Files, Philippines), Nikos Sarris (SOMA Project, European Observatory against Disinformation), Cristina Tardaguila International Fact Checking Network), Ellen T. Tordesillas (VERA Files, Philippines) and others. 

AI4Dignity is a proof of concept project funded by the European Research Council (2020-2022) that aims to address challenges facing Artificial Intelligence assisted efforts at moderating extreme speech online.
