Postdoc Researcher for SMALL PLATFORMS

Dr. Craig Ryder is a digital anthropologist whose interests include the platformisation of information, emergent applications of AI, and digital research methodologies. As a postdoctoral researcher on the ERC-funded SMALL PLATFORMS project at LMU he is investigating extreme speech in the UK. His PhD from SOAS (University of London) explored activism on social media in Sri Lanka, examining how influencer culture is shaping political mobilisation. Craig is also the founder of the Digital Studies Collective (DiSCo), an interdisciplinary network of researchers who curate the DiSCo Journal—an experimental publication exploring digital art, culture, and methods.
